How do I remove Screen Saver X from my Mac?

It’s a common question I receive through email and one I would like to answer once and for all :)

Follow these steps…

1) Click the ‘System Preferences’ icon on the dock.

2) Click the ‘Desktop & Screen Saver’ Icon.

3) Click the ‘Screen Saver’ tab.

4) Find the screen saver you would like to remove and control-click it and select ‘Move to Trash’.

    Hey Todd,

You can only remove 3rd party screensavers. For example, all the screensavers under the other category can/should be removable from a control-click action.
